🎵 Memphis Roots, Two Local Offices, One State Farm Team

Welcome to our Matt Haaga State Farm Agent office in Memphis, TN! From our East Memphis location and second office in Germantown, we serve individuals, families, and business owners throughout Shelby County and the surrounding Mid-South. Whether you are buying a house, changing vehicles, moving into an apartment, growing your family, or building a business, we are here to answer questions and discuss Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, Financial Services, and other available options.

I opened my State Farm office in 2015, and we have since grown to include two local offices in Memphis and Germantown and a team of 10 professionals. With locations in both communities, we serve customers across East Memphis, Midtown, Downtown, Germantown, Collierville, Bartlett, Cordova, and neighboring areas while maintaining strong local connections.

🏃 Built for the Long Run: Meet Matt Haaga

Memphis is not simply where I work. It is home. I was born and raised here, graduated from Christian Brothers High School, and later earned my B.B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia. Before becoming an agent, I worked as a State Farm team member, gaining experience that helped prepare me to open my own office in September 2015.

Since then, we have grown alongside the communities we serve. Today, our team includes 10 professionals working both in our Memphis and Germantown offices and virtually. This combination gives us a connected team with different ways to support customers, answer questions, and explain available insurance options.

Why do we have two State Farm offices in Shelby County? Memphis and Germantown each have distinct communities, households, businesses, and daily rhythms. Having a presence in both keeps us connected across the area while giving you another local office for insurance conversations.

Community involvement is an important part of my life and our office. We support a number of local nonprofits throughout the Memphis area, and I enjoy staying personally involved in organizations that serve our neighbors. I am a past president of the East Memphis Rotary Club and have coached youth football at St. Louis Catholic School for the past 10 years. I also volunteer with the high school youth ministry program through the church.

My volunteer involvement also includes volunteering and working with local churches and annual bell ringing with The Salvation Army. My connection to Christian Brothers High School continues long after graduating, too. I remain actively involved with the alumni community, and our office is a Pillar Partner with the school. These long-standing relationships are part of how I stay connected to the Memphis community I have called home throughout my life.

Outside the office, I am an endurance athlete who enjoys running, cycling, swimming, and challenging myself over long distances. Family is a big part of my life as well, and I am fortunate to have many family members nearby.

🏡 What Insurance Can Our Memphis Office Help With?

We help individuals, families, and business owners understand insurance options for their vehicles, homes, changing life circumstances, businesses, pets, and recreational activities.

  • 🚗 Auto Insurance

Daily commutes, household vehicles, new drivers, and changes in how you use your vehicle can all bring new coverage questions.

  • 🏡 Home Insurance

Buying a home, settling into a new one, renovating, or making significant property updates may be good reasons to revisit your coverage.

  • 🔑 Renters Insurance

Whether you rent an apartment, house, or other residence, your living situation and belongings are important parts of the insurance conversation.

  • 🏙️ Condo Insurance

Condo ownership comes with different considerations than owning a traditional home, from your living space to the belongings inside it.

  • ❤️ Life Insurance

Marriage, a growing family, a new home, career changes, and evolving responsibilities can bring new questions about the future.

  • 🩺 Health Insurance

Changes in your household, work, or other circumstances may be a useful time to look at available coverage options.

  • 🏢 Business Insurance & Commercial Auto Insurance

As your business grows or changes, new equipment, operations, locations, and commercial vehicles may affect your insurance considerations.

  • 🐾 Pet Insurance

Coverage options are available for the four-legged members of your family as their needs change over time.

  • 🚤 Boat Insurance

Owning a boat brings its own insurance considerations, whether you enjoy weekends on the water or longer outings.

  • 🏍️ Motorcycle Insurance

From everyday rides to longer trips across Tennessee, your motorcycle and how you use it help shape the coverage conversation.

  • 🚙 RV Insurance

Road trips, camping, and recreational travel bring different considerations for your RV and time away from home.

  • 🛻 ATV Insurance

ATVs and off-road recreation come with their own coverage considerations based on how and where you ride.

Whether you are settling into a new home, adding a driver, growing your family, building a business, or spending more time on the road or water, your insurance questions may change along the way. With two local offices, we are here to answer questions and help you understand the available options as life changes.

❤️ Life Changes? A Look at Life Insurance and Financial Services

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, offering a timely opportunity to consider how your household, responsibilities, and plans have changed. We keep Life Insurance conversations approachable and can also discuss Financial Services when you want to take a broader look at your future and the priorities that are important to you.

When might it make sense to review Life Insurance? Marriage, welcoming a child, purchasing a home, changing careers, starting or growing a business, or taking on different family responsibilities may all create reasons to revisit your information. Changes in your household, income, responsibilities, or longer-term goals may also make another conversation worthwhile.

Life changes can bring questions that extend beyond Life Insurance. You may be thinking about your future, preparing for upcoming milestones, or simply taking a closer look at how your priorities have changed over time. We can discuss Financial Services at a high level, learn more about what you are working toward, and answer questions about available options.

How can Life Insurance and Financial Services fit into a broader conversation? We start with where you are today. If you are beginning your career, your questions may look different from those you have while growing a family, running a business, or beginning to think about the future. As those circumstances change, we can revisit the information we have and continue the conversation.

You do not need to have everything figured out before talking with us. We can learn about your current situation, answer questions about Life Insurance, discuss Financial Services and plans for the future, and explain available options in straightforward terms. The goal is to keep the conversation connected to your current stage of life and the future you are thinking about.

🍂 Fall in the Mid-South: New Routines, New Reasons to Review

September brings a change of pace across Shelby County. School schedules are back, commutes may look different, fall projects are getting underway, and households are beginning to think about the cooler months ahead. Those changes can make this a useful time to consider what may be different around your home, on the road, or in your living situation.

What should you consider around your home this fall? Clearing leaves and debris from gutters and drainage areas, checking exterior lighting, testing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and scheduling appropriate heating system maintenance may be useful additions to your seasonal home checklist.

If you completed a renovation, added a deck or fence, replaced a roof, or made another significant property update, it may be a timely to revisit your Home Insurance information with us.

Renting or living in a condo? A recent move, roommate change, or significant purchase may prompt questions about Renters Insurance or Condo Insurance. We can review the information we have and discuss changes in your living situation.

Your fall routine on the road may look different, too. A new household driver, recently purchased vehicle, different commute, or change in how a vehicle is used may make September a good time to revisit your Auto Insurance information with us.

🏢 From Memphis Storefronts to Growing Companies: Insurance for Local Business

Memphis runs on people who build, create, serve, and keep local businesses moving. If you own or operate a business, your insurance questions may change as your operations change.

When should you review Business Insurance? Moving to a different location, adding equipment, changing business operations, or adding vehicles may be reasons to revisit your current information. We can review the information you provide and answer questions about Business Insurance and Commercial Auto Insurance options

With our two local offices, we work with business owners throughout Shelby County and surrounding communities as their operations and insurance questions evolve.
